This Year

I wrote this poem due to my graduation at I.S. 53,now known as M.S 53, in the 8th grade. I was very happy to be going to high school, but I was also very sad because I would be leaving alot of my friends. But even though I am now in the 10th grade, it is quite memorable to cherish those memories.

It's going to be hard
To say goodbye
We'll all miss each other
I know we'll cry

I think of the years
That we all cherished and shared
We always loved each other

And we always cared

We had some fights
But we made our way through
I just want you to know
I'm always here for you

As I sit here in my room
I think of my friends
And wonder how this year

Will come to an end
